If heading south on 128 today: "Wax and Bing Potters welcome you to our Holiday Pottery Open Studio on Sunday, November 22, from 10-4. A husband and wife team, we've created pottery in Anderson Valley for 30 years, and are represented in worldwide collections. We are easy to reach - less than a mile off of Hwy. 128. Turn on to Holmes Ranch Road at highway marker 17.45, adjacent to Handley Cellars Winery. You'll see our sign at 3001 Holmes Ranch Road. Turn in, drive up a small rise, and turn right at the koi pond. We'll be looking forward to seeing you." http://www.waxbing.com/
Food & Wine
It's still mushroom season, and many restaurants have mushroom focused menus and daily specials. The Moosse Cafe on Kasten St. in Mendocino features wonderful mushroom dishes for lunch and dinner!

Take refuge from the occasional showers today on the well-wooded trail that runs along Big River. Parking is available on the northeastern shore, entrance at the north side of the Big River Bridge.
