Local Licks Live XVI

The Coast proudly presents its 16th annual concert to keep music programs in our Coastal schools. Featuring some of the finest musicians in Mendocino County, all in acoustic concert in the gorgeous environment of Cotton Auditorium. This year's show features Celticlism, Mark Hannon, Butch Kwan, Tim and Linda O’Laughlin Booie Volk, Marilyn DeFrange and Friends, Steve Baird, Les Boek, Will and Ellie Siegel, Sid Hillman, Gene Parsons and David Hayes Advance tickets just $12 and available now at Harvest Market, Racines, Out Of This World and Dig Music. $15 at the door. As with every Local Licks Live concert, all money goes to benefit Music In Our Schools and Cotton Auditorium, the best place within 150 miles to hear, see or play music. Food & Wine
Dinner at Glendeven tonightThere are a couple seats left at our Mushroom Dinner tonight at Glendeven in the main Farmhouse. We'll gather at 6:00 for champagne and passed amuse bouche, and have a wonderful evening of local food and wine. Chefs Brian and Shennen Morris of the Culinary Institute in New York are preparing a fantastic four-course mushroom focused dinner.
If heading south on the 128 today, many wineries are having open house "Mushroom Festival" food and wine pairings. Watch for the signs along Highway 128, the Anderson Valley road.


Outdoors
1) Be sure to walk the headlands across the road from Glendeven and 15 minutes to the cliffs. Walk north through the woods then out along the cliffs of Spring Ranch.. You'll be glad you did!

2) Walk Russian Gulch State park which is about 1 mile north of Mendocino. This walk takes you three miles up to a beautiful waterfall.

3) If heading south on the 128, stop at Hendy Woods State park (turn right up Greenwood Philo Road) and walk amongst old growth redwoods. A worthwhile stop.
