The Mendocino Art Center galleries showcase Larry Wagner's photography from Mendocino Art Center's 50th Anniversary Exotic Calendar, as well as "The Shots Seen 'Round the World," his photographs of the blue whale that washed ashore on the Mendocino Coast that were picked up by the Associated Press; Tom Reed's photography exhibit, "The Granite Avatars of Patagonia"; the Mendocino Coast Furniture Makers "Toy Show," and a "Holiday Boutique," including fiber adornments, ceramics, jewelry, ornaments, artistic blank books and more.

In Fort Bragg, try Mendo Bistro’s three-course mushroom dinner. Or try the great food at the Ledford House in Albion – full bar and nightly music.

For something new, try Franklin Street Café in Fort Bragg for lunch or dinner. Open only three months, and serving excellent food at good prices.

If heading south on the 128, stop at Navarro, Toulouse, Londer, Foursight, or Meyer Family Wines for nice people and great wines.

Outdoors
Ride a Horse on the Beach Ricochet Ridge Ranch.
Horseback trail riding in the beach or in the redwood forests and cattle ranches for novice through advanced riders. A few miles north of Ft Bragg (707) 964-7669

Be sure to walk the trail across from Glendeven to the headlands and walk nborht along the bluff into Spring Ranch.

If heading south on the 128, stop at Hendy Woods State park (turn right up Greenwood Philo Road) and walk amongst old growth redwoods. A worthwhile stop.
