(Monday Dec 28) Do This Today in Mendocino

Culture
Mendocino-Made-Movies on Monday” at Glendeven. Tonight we will screen “East of Eden” with James Dean in the Wine Bar[n] at 7:15.

Each Monday in the winter, we project movies filmed in and around Mendocino over the years. Join us for truffled popcorn, some wine or beer, and a look at Mendocino back when James Dean walked the streets.

Wine & Food
For dinner we recommend the Moosse Café (no corkage tonight!) In Fort Bragg, try Mendo Bistro for their three-course mushroom dinner.
If driving south on the 128, stop at Navarro, Toulouse, Londer or Meyer Vineyards for nice people and good wine.

Outdoors
Walk the short half-mile to the Point Cabrillo Light Station, where the views are always amazing. Take a left onto Point Cabrillo Drive from Highway One just north of Mendocino and follow the signs. This month is the start of the California Grey Whale Migration. Watch for spouts!

Low tide is at a good time to go tide-pooling (2:37). Try the headlands directly across the road from Glendeven, or walk around the headlands surrounding the village of Mendocino (Headlands State Park).

TIDES: Low: 2:37 pm
High: 9:43 PM
