Food & Wine
The three-course mushroom menu (available all through mushroom season) at Mendo Bistro in Ft Bragg is a great deal and wonderful food. We’re fans of this place. Located on Main Street at Redwood in Ft Bragg, above the “Company Store,” open for dinner starting at 5:00pm.
If heading south on the 128, stop at Navarro, Toulouse, Londer, Foursight, or Meyer Family Wines for nice people and great wines. AND stop in Healdsburg for lunch at The Oakville Grocery, Bistro Raph’s right on the square, or at Willi’s Seafood & Raw bar for great small plates.
Outdoors
Walk Jug Handle State Natural Reserve and see five different forest zones in one walk. Located just north of Caspar on Highway 1.
