For lunch we recommend Café Beaujolais, Patterson’s Pub, and the Mendocino Café in Mendocino, and in Ft Bragg we like The Fort Bragg Bakery on Franklin Street at 360 N Franklin St (pizzas and sandwiches as well as terrific bread and pastries), and also the new Franklin Street Café 223 N Franklin St, Fort Bragg. Good food at great prices.
Listen to live jazz while sitting at the bar at the Ledford House. Try the Soup de Poisson. It's everything that's good for you in a bowl. South of Glendeven by 5 miles on the ocean.
Outdoors
1:30pm Join a staff mycologist on a weekly Monday walk for mushrooms throughout the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden. Mushroom identification, biology, edibility, myths and the good times that all come along with a mushroom walk will be included. Warning: exposure to the mushroom world can be habit-forming! (Free with $10 Garden admission.)
